Day 108 B: Marriage is like Diabetes

So I finally got to Goa to keep up with Claire and her harem of men. This was a major undertaking since I got all cocky two days before leaving Mumbai and ended up bragging about how I hadn't been sick. Obviously, the next day, I had a fever of 103. So my ghetto flight on Air Deccan was truly extra special awesome.

But I finally arrived in Goa. It is beautiful. Lots of portugese churches in among the jungle. Our hotel is beautiful-ish. But truly not big enough to jog in. I don't know what Claire was doing. But there were lots of men on the streets...I can attest to that.

As for the title of this post, I just felt I should pass along this nugget of wisdom that I got out of an Indian wedding magazine to the thinking-of-marriage Claire and everyone else. This woman says that her husband is her soulmate, but that "marriage is like diabetes. a fatal disease you can never recover from, and that you should avoid getting." I think she was trying to be sweet. But she also listed her biggest turn on as "when he wears his see through shirts."

I feel communication may not be the biggest problem here.

I love all the "marriage is like..." sayings. Especially the ones that make it sounds awful. But marriage is like diabetes is a new one!
