Day 309: Bling Bling Part 3

by Claire. Claire@TrippingOnWords.com

Today was my mother’s birthday. In celebation, we went to see Pan’s Labyrinth, the supposedly incredible fairy tale/political fable set in Franco’s Spain. Before the halfway mark, however, my mother had walked out due to the violence. She does not like violence in movies, as is evidenced by the fact that she once fainted after some film about Navy SEALS, and once unplugged the television during an Indiana Jones flick. So for the rest of Pan’s Labyrinth, I sat there like a bad daughter on a mother’s birthday, thinking she was coming back and hiding behind my hands when the bad man sewed up his own stitches on his face.

After the movie, we went to a dinner, where I learned once again that I do indeed have prophetic dreams, when a neighbor, Randy, who I have never had a real conversation with in my life came up and began speaking to me and my parents in the way that people do when they are friendly and have things in common to banter about. In the dream I had two nights ago, my father had indeed turned to my mother at a dinner table they were sharing with said Randy and said, “Why aren’t we friends with Randy anyway? He’s such a nice guy!”

In short, I am psychic, and the blog reader that told me to read Dream Doctor was brilliant, although I can't find that site.

Alas, the title of this post: You have suffered through two days of boring money related posts. Let's do one more, but with a insanely fun quiz (I beg of you to please just click the one button) before the official unveiling. You'll be entertaining me to no end, as you know I'll be checking for results.

my mom's boyfriend covered up her eyes during Pan's Labrynth, prompted by her squirming and chirping in dismay at the violence.

Dream Doctor dreams....

I am new here...Hello...This dream is not one I had. This is a dream someone else told me about and it seemed very symbolic to me but I need help with it. The woman who had this dream is in her late sixties. She dreamed she had a bird, in a cage that she was very very fond of....One day she looked into the cage and the bird was dead.........all the feathers were gone, no where to be seen, and this poor little bird was laying on the cage floor like a little bird skeleton...nothing but bones...........She was very upset and grieved him........Then she noticed that she never put a food dish in his cage. She never fed him. He died because she never fed him. This woman had parakeets for most of her life and took care of them very well. I don't know if that has any connection though...cc
